It depends on the recipient's country and the message category, and it changed to per-message billing in July 2025. India is among the cheapest markets and Germany among the most expensive — the spread runs to roughly thirteen times. The rate follows your customer's country. We will price your real volumes before you commit.

Do I need the official WhatsApp Business API, or is the free app enough?

If you are answering a handful of chats a day, the free Business app is fine and we will say so. The API is worth it once you need automation, multiple agents on one number, or integration with your systems.

Can you build a WhatsApp chatbot for business enquiries and orders?
